
De Paula, Acquired in Pillar Trade, to Start Tonight for Lugnuts

LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, pitcher Juan De Paula has been received from Extended Spring Training and will start tonight's home opener at 6:05 p.m. against Fort Wayne. In a corresponding move, pitcher Sean Rackoski has been transferred to Extended Spring Training.
De Paula, 21, was included among a three-player package dealt by the San Francisco Giants to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for former Lugnuts outfielder Kevin Pillar, the 2012 Midwest League Most Valuable Player. He enters tonight's start ranked the No. 30 prospect in the Blue Jays' organization by MLB Pipeline.
