
De La Torre Traded to Boston

The Cleveland Indians today announced a trade with the Boston Red Sox that sent Akron Aeros pitcher Jose De La Torre to the Red Sox in exchange for major league outfielder Brent Lillibridge. De La Torre spent most of the season with the Aeros, going 7-1, 2.80, in 27 games. He has also appeared briefly this season at Triple-A Columbus. De La Torre was in his first year in the Indians organization. He is expected to report to Boston's Triple-A affiliate at Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
The Aeros roster now stands at 24 players.
