Today's Game : The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Beloit Sky Carp (affiliates of the Miami Marlins) in the fourth game of a six-game series.

Streaks : The Dragons are 11-5 over their last 16 games. Beloit is 4-15 over their last 19 games.

Last Game: Thursday: Dayton 1, Beloit 0. Johnathan Harmon and Arij Fransen combined on a four-hit shutout and Sal Stewart drove in the only run of the game with a fifth inning RBI groundout. Harmon went six and two-thirds innings, the longest start by a Dayton pitcher since Connor Phillips went the same distance on May 27, 2022 at West Michigan.

Current Series (May 28-June 2 at Beloit) : Dayton is 2-1 in the series.

Team Notes

The Dragons have posted back-to-back shutout wins for the first time since April 26-27, 2022 at Fort Wayne (starters were Joe Boyle, Bryce Bonnin). Dragons pitchers have gone 16 straight innings without allowing a run and 21 straight innings without allowing an earned run.

Last night's win lifted the Dragons to the .500 mark for the first time since they were 6-6 on April 18. They were last above .500 on April 17 (6-5).

Over the last seven games, Dragons pitchers have posted an ERA of 1.45, allowing 10 earned runs in 62 innings, and only 38 hits with 75 strikeouts. The team ERA over this period (since May 23) is the best in full-season MiLB (120 teams).

Since May 12 (16 games), the Dragons have posted a 2.91 ERA, best in the MWL over that time period and second in High-A (30 teams).

The Dragons are 7-1 when their starting pitcher goes six innings; 16-6 when the starter goes 5+; 17-9 when the starter allows two runs or less.

Player Notes

Sal Stewart over his last 14 games is batting .367 (18 for 49) with two home runs, 11 RBI, three doubles, and nine walks (.467 OBP; 1.018 OPS).

Hector Rodriguez over his last nine games is 17 for 39 (.436) with two doubles and two RBI. He has seven multi-hit games in this period.
