Day one of baseball camp postponed due to weather

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club announced this morning that the first session of the 2009 Youth Baseball Camp has been postponed due to unsafe field conditions caused by heavy rain overnight. The hitting sessions that was scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 29 for 9:00am with registration and check-in to begin at 8:30am. Day #2 of the camp for will be conducted as planned which will include instruction on the fundamentals of fielding, catching, and pitching. Registration and check-in will begin at 8:30am with instruction starting at 9:00am. There are spots still available for both sessions of the camp and kids can sign-up by visiting the Dillas Front Offices, located at 801 South Polk Street, over the phone by calling 806-342-0400 or by showing up in the morning at the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa.

After taking three out of the four games against the Laredo Broncos the Dillas welcome the San Angelo Colts tonight for game one of a four-game set. The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a charter member of United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
