Day-Night Doubleheader Set for Saturday, July 30th

Wisconsin Rapids, WI-July 25th, 2011. The June 22nd rainout game for Solarus Night has been rescheduled and is set to take place this Saturday, July 30th as part of a day-night doubleheader.

Two, separate, 9-inning contests will be played at Witter Field, with the first commencing at 12:05 p.m. for Solarus Customer Appreciation Day. Gates to game one will open at 11:05 a.m. and the stadium will be cleared out following the completion of the first contest. Any current customer of Solarus can bring in an old bill to the Rafters ticket office and receive a FREE ticket for the first game of the twin bill. A family can bring in a Solarus bill and receive up to 4 FREE tickets for their family. A person can only redeem one bill and will need to present a photo ID, along with the bill, in order to receive the tickets. There will be a $50 Solarus gift card given away every inning during the first game, with a $100 Solarus gift card awarded to one lucky fan at the completion of the 12:05 p.m. contest.

Game one of the Saturday doubleheader is also WRYSA Day at the ballpark. Any WRYSA player wearing their uniform will get in FREE to the game! Tickets for all other attendees joining the WRYSA player at the game will be $6 each.

All ticket holders for the postponed game, dated June 22, are able to exchange their ticket for the double header by presenting the rainout ticket at the Rafters box office for a ticket to the 12:05 p.m. Game 1. Fans can stop by the ticket office at Witter Field, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to switch out their tickets.

Gates to the regularly scheduled game will open at 5:05 p.m. with the first pitch slated for 6:05 p.m. for McCain Foods Night. The first 500 fans in attendance for the nightcap will also receive a Garden Gnome, courtesy of Schoep's Ice Cream. Tickets can be purchased separately to both events.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2011. Purchase tickets online at raftersbaseball.com, by calling the office at 715-424-5400, or by stopping into Witter Field.
