David Duke Jr. and Chris Chiozza Earn All-NBA G League Honors

LONG ISLAND - The NBA G League announced today that guards David Duke Jr. and Chris Chiozza were named to the All-NBA G League First and Third teams, respectively, for their play with the Long Island Nets this season. Duke Jr. is the second player in Long Island history to earn First Team honors, while Chiozza becomes the second player in franchise history to be named to the Third Team.

In 22 games with Long Island this season while on a two-way contract with Brooklyn, Duke Jr. recorded a team-leading 23.0 points (fourth in the NBA G League) on 47.9 percent shooting from the field, 32.1 percent shooting from distance and 80.5 percent shooting from the free-throw line in addition to 6.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.9 steals (9th in the NBA G League) in a team-high 34.2 minutes per game. He scored in double figures in all 22 of his regular season games with Long Island, including 15 games of 20 or more points and two games of 30 or more points. Duke Jr. also appeared in seven NBA G League Showcase Cup games for Long Island, averaging 21.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 31.7 minutes per game, in addition to two postseason games for Long Island this season, posting averages of 16.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 32.1 minutes per contest. Duke Jr. was selected to participate in the first NBA G League Next Up Game during the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend, which included this season's top performers, and finished third in the 2022-23 Kia NBA G League Most Valuable Player award voting.

In 30 regular season games (all starts) with the LI Nets this season, Chiozza posted averages of 12.2 points, 8.3 assists (fifth in the NBA G League), 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals (fifth in the NBA G League) in 33.0 minutes per contest. He also appeared in 16 NBA G League Showcase Cup games (all starts), recording averages of 13.3 points, 10.4 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 36.4 minutes per game. Chiozza recorded a Long Island season-high 15 assists twice versus Iowa and at Delaware on Dec. 30 and Jan. 25, respectively. He recorded double-figure assists in 11 games and posted 19 games of 10 or more points, including six games of 20 or more points and a season-high 27 points at College Park on Feb. 11. In two playoff games for Long Island this season, the Florida alumnus averaged 11.5 points, 9.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 33.4 minutes per game.
