EDINBURG, Texas - The NBA G League announced today that Houston Rockets Two-Way player and Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward Darius Days has been named to the All-NBA G League Second Team and the NBA G League All-Rookie Team.
Days was a key component of the Vipers success during the team's five-game playoff run as he averaged 16.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 blocks in 31.8 minutes of playing time.
Right before going into playoffs the rookie received Player of the Month honors for the month of March. He was also the recipient of the Player of the Week award for games played throughout Jan. 17-23, making him the 22nd player in franchise history to receive the award.
During the 2022-23 regular season Days appeared and started in 29 games for the Vipers in which he averaged 24.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 35.6 minutes played all while shooting 85.7% from the free throw line and 48.6% from the field goal line.
In the 2022-23 Showcase Cup, the rookie saw playing time in 18 games averaging 17.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.0 steals, shot 74.1% from the free throw line and 48.8% from the field goal line.
