WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Aug. 20, 2015) - Keon Barnum scored on a walk-off wild pitch, and Winston-Salem jumped back into first place thanks to a 5-4 win over Myrtle Beach on Thursday night at BB&T Ballpark.

Winston-Salem (32-20, 62-60) earned its second walk-off victory and 16th come-from-behind win en route to salvaging the finale of this three-game series. The Dash also remained 2.5 games ahead of Carolina for the final Southern Division playoff spot, with the Mudcats knocking off Salem to complete a brooming of their own.

With the score knotted at four in the bottom of the ninth, Myrtle Beach (32-21, 73-49) reliever Michael Heesch (8-2) walked Barnum with one out. A Nick Basto single advanced Barnum to second before a fielder's choice put runners on the corners. After Cleuluis Rondon walked to load the bases, Barnum raced home on Heesch's wild pitch to win the ballgame.

The Dash trailed 4-2 going to the bottom of the eighth. Consecutive doubles by Rondon and Nolan Earley drew Winston within a run. Adam Engel sacrificed Earley to third, and with the infield drawn in, Eddy Alvarez ripped a single to left to tie the game at 4-4.

Dash reliever James Dykstra (6-10) entered with the score 4-2 Pelicans in the fifth and yielded just one hit in 4.2 frames to earn the win. Dykstra fanned five without walking a batter.

Myrtle Beach stormed out of the gates with three doubles to start the game, putting the Birds up 2-0. After a Jason Vosler groundout, Jacob Rogers singled home a run to make it 3-0 Pelicans. Victor Caratini then singled Rogers to third, but was thrown out trying to advance to second. After Kevin Brown walked, Winston-Salem starter Spencer Adams struck out Daniel Lockhart to escape the jam.

Engel led off the bottom of the first with a solo shot onto the berm in left field for the Dash's first run. However, the Pelicans retrieved it right back with Jason Vosler's RBI single in the top of the second.

Once again though, Winston-Salem had a quick answer. Basto swatted a solo home run with one out in the second to draw the Dash within two.
