Darius Days Named NBA G League Player of the Week

EDINBURG, Texas - The NBA G League announced today that Houston Rockets Two-Way player and Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward Darius Days has been named Player of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 23 to Sunday, Jan. 29.

Days becomes the first RGV player to win the award since former Vipers player, Daishen Nix, won the award last year on Jan. 25, 2022 for games played Jan. 17-23. Days is also the 22nd different RGV player to be named Player of the Week, more than any other franchise in GL history.

Days averaged 29.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 3.7 three-pointers made and 1.3 steals during the teams 3-0 run. On Jan. 24 against the Mexico City Capitanes, Days scored a career-high 40 points. On Jan. 26 he had a career-high 16 rebounds against the Capitanes.
