
Clippers Fall In Overtime To Vipers

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (9-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, fall to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (8-8) in overtime, 107-112, in the first of a two-game series on Monday night.
Nate Darling led all scorers with 30 points on 11-24 FGM (4-13 3PM) in the losing effort. Xavier Moon added a double double of 22 points (9-21 FGM) and 10 assists.
Rio Grande Valley were led by Jalen Lecque's, who recorded 25 points and 12 assists for the double double. 17 of Lecque's points came from the free throw line. Darius Days (24 points and 12 rebounds) and Jarrett Culver (15 points and 10 rebounds) also recorded a double doubles for the Vipers.
The Clippers led by as much as 12 halfway through the fourth quarter, but a 12-2 run brought the Vipers to within 2 points with 3:21 remaining in regulation. Rio Grande Valley would equalize with 1.2 seconds left after a missed Ontario free throw led to a transition layup by Lecque. The Vipers would outscore the Clippers 7-2 in overtime to seal the victory.
Next up, the Clippers look to even things up in a rematch against the Vipers on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm PST inside the Toyota Arena.
