(Erie, PA) - SeaWolves left-handed starting pitcher Danny Christensen has been named the Bank of America Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 15.
Over the course of two starts, Christensen compiled a record of 1-0 with 12 strikeouts and a 1.29 ERA in 14 innings. In his first start of the week against Portland, Christensen went eight solid innings allowing a run on three hits with two walks and eight strikeouts in a no-decision.
Christensen (4-4) picked up the win for the SeaWolves on Sunday against New Hampshire. He went six innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts to even his record to .500. Christensen is 4-0 with a no-decision in his last five starts, and the SeaWolves are 5-1 in the last six games he's started.
