
Damon Allen and top CFL quarterbacks are throwing it for Kids Help Phone

Toronto, ON â April 26th, 2005 - 13 of the nation's best quarterbacks, including 2004 Grey Cup MVP Damon Allen, will be taking to the field at York University for the 1st annual Damon Allen Quarterback Challenge in support of Kids Help Phone.
The Damon Allen Quarterback Challenge will take place May 14th at York Stadium at York University. To kick off the day, up to 30 corporate teams of four will take part in a Corporate Quarterback Challenge. Canadian football lovers and supporters will have the chance to meet Canada's Best Quarterbacks while at the same time have the unique opportunity to take part in a football clinic led by some of the greatest quarterbacks in Canadian football history. The participating corporate teams will then compete, with their fans and spectators witnessing first hand the thrill of the gridiron to determine which corporate team is Canada's Best. Following the Corporate Challenge, the top CFL Quarterbacks will compete against each other in the Quarterback Challenge, for prize money and the designation of Best of the Best in the CFL. The event will be aired on The Score network beginning in June â consisting of 20 episodes run three times a week for a total of 60 episodes.
The Damon Allen Quarterback Challenge will assemble a talent pool previously unseen in football circles including: Damon Allen, Dave Dickenson, Casey Printers, Michael Bishop, Danny McManus, Darnell Kennedy, Henry Burris, Kevin Glenn, Jason Maas, Nealon Greene, Anthony Calvillo, Marcus Crandell and Marcus Brady.
