Dallas Sidekicks to Face New Rival Oxford City in ESPN3 MASL Game of the Week

Allen, Texas (Jan. 16, 2015) - This Sunday the Dallas Sidekicks (8-5) take on Oxford City FC of Texas (10-4) in their third matchup of the season. With the Sidekicks looking for key playoff positioning, the 3 p.m. match is a crucial one.
Dallas and Oxford City have already met twice this season, the Sidekicks traveling to Ford Arena in Beaumont and putting up a 15-4 victory on Dec. 27. Dallas' Freddy Moojen netted a record-breaking seven goals in the match, and Carlos Videla scored his second hat trick of the season. Their second meeting was a back-and-forth battle on Jan. 3 with Oxford City coming out on top 5-4 at Allen Event Center.
Forwards Lucas Totti (30 Goals, 13 Assists), David Malloy (13 Goals, 10 Assists), and David Parente (11 Goals, 4 Assists) lead Oxford City's offense, while goalkeeper Kyle Renfro has posted a GAA of 5.80 and save percentage of .485. Last month Oxford City acquired former Hidalgo star goaltender Juan Gamboa, who has a lifetime 3-4 regular season record when in net against the Sidekicks.
Sidekicks forward Moojen will be looking to catapult himself further up the MASL standings on Sunday, sitting at fifth in goals scored with 24. Team leaders include midfielder Ricardinho with 14 assists, defenseman Kiley Couch with 2 blocks, Moojen with 55 shots and Jamie Lovegrove with 3 game-winning goals. Dallas will be without star forward Lovegrove until mid-February, the Crawley, England native back home sorting out visa issues. Forward Nestor Hernandez is expected to return to the pitch after missing several games with a deep bone bruise.
