
DALLAS BURN BREAKS TEAM RECORD FOR SEASON TICKETS SOLD FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Team Is Also On Pace To Break Sponsorship Revenue Record
DALLAS - For the second consecutive year, the Dallas Burn has broken the team's single season record for season tickets sold and is on pace to the break the sponsorship revenue record, it was announced today by Burn President and General Manager Andy Swift.
"This achievement is clearly a reflection of the hard work put forth by our entire staff and their dedication to the long term success of professional soccer in the area," said Swift. "Undoubtedly our continued business growth over the last several years is due in great part to the success of the Burn's various grassroots efforts and programs."
With opening day still three days away, the Burn has surpassed last year's season ticket record by 6%. Additionally, sponsorship revenue is on pace to break last year's record as the sponsorship department is currently 15% ahead of last year's pace.
The Burn has seen an overall attendance increase in each of the last four seasons and overall attendance has increased 34% since 1997. In addition, sponsorship revenue for the team has increased every year since 1998 and annual sponsorship revenue has doubled since 1999.
The 2002 Dallas Burn season kicks off on Saturday, March 23 vs. the 2001 MLS Cup Champion San Jose Earthquakes at 7:30 p.m. at the Cotton Bowl. For ticket information, contact the Burn at 214-979-0303.
