RAPIDS TEAM WITH FOX SPORTS NET TO BRING FANS "SOCCER SATURDAYS" IN 2002

DENVER (Monday, March 18, 2002) - The Colorado Rapids and regional broadcast leader Fox Sports Net (Rocky Mountain) have announced their partnership in bringing soccer fans all of the 2002 away-game action as the official "home-away-from-home" for the Rapids, it was announced today by Rapids General Manager Dan Counce.

With nine out of fourteen road games falling on weekends, the Rapids and Fox Sports Net are proud to present "Soccer Saturdays" in 2002 at 8 p.m., an ideal time for fans and families to begin a Saturday evening at home or at Croc's Mexican Grill - the official away-game viewing venue for soccer fans in Denver.

Rapids games will be regionally televised through Fox Sports Net to over 2.2. million cable and satellite subscribers in an eight state radius, bringing the game of soccer to American households in an unprecedented way.

Once again featuring the colorful and dynamic broadcast duo of Marc Stout and Seamus Malin, the Rapids will hit the road with an experienced and knowledgable team. Stout, an on-air Denver radio personality for 106.7 FM KBPI's "The Lockerroom," has been with the Rapids for over four years. Malin, who brings a wealth of experience as a internationally renowned soccer commentator, is expected to be a part of the broadcast team for the upcoming World Cup in Korea and Japan.
