Dunedin Blue Jays News Release
Dunedin, FL - Due to wet grounds at Dunedin Stadium and inclement weather in the forecast, the series opener between the Dunedin Blue Jays and Lakeland Flying Tigers has been postponed until Wednesday, where it will be made up as a doubleheader.
This marks the second consecutive game for the D-Jays that has been called on a count of rain. Monday's series finale between Dunedin and Clearwater at Bright House Stadium in Clearwater was cancelled and lost to the schedule due to rain.
Conversely, Lakeland had their doubleheader on Monday against Tampa cancelled due to rain, as well, and both teams lost two games to the schedule, as they will not face each other for the rest of the season.
Wednesday's doubleheader will begin at 5 p.m. and both games will be seven inning affairs. Pitching match-ups have not been announced.
