SUNRISE, FLA. â Florida Panthers General Manager Rick Dudley announced today that the Panthers have assigned D Jay Bouwmeester to San Antonio (AHL).
Bouwmeester, 20, has played in one game with the Panthers (Feb. 27 vs. Washington), since returning from a foot injury that sidelined him for five weeks (18 games). Prior to the injury, he appeared in 46 games with Florida scoring two goals with 14 assists. He was selected by Florida with their first choice (3rd overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
