
Ducks fall to Barons, 4-1

CLEVELAND, OH -- Brad Boyes had a goal and an assist as the Cleveland Barons defeated the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, 4-1, Sunday at Grund Arena.
Boyes collected an assist on Willie Levesque's goal 3:24 into the contest and scored his 25th goal of the season early in the third period to give the Barons a 3-1 lead.
Marcel Goc and Ryane Clowe also scored for the Barons, who have won three of their last four games.
Nolan Schaefer stopped 19 shots to improve to 10-4-1 since being called up from ECHL Fresno, including 7-0-0 at home.
Nick Smith scored a shorthanded goal in the second period for Cincinnati, which has lost two straight games and is winless in its last five (0-4-1-0).
Eddy Ferhi, making his first start since February 15, surrendered three goals on 26 shots to take the loss for Cincinnati, which has scored just 10 goals in its last eight games.
