
Cardiac Bruins win in O.T. again

The Providence Bruins finished off a stretch of three straight road games on Sunday afternoon in Manchester, and went to overtime for the fourth straight game. For the third straight game, the Bruins came away with the two points, as they won, 3-2. The Black and Gold is 26-20-10-3 (65 points) on the season, putting them in third place in the Atlantic Division. They are two points behind Manchester.
Bruin captain Rich Brennan blasted home the game-winner on a power play at 2:14 of overtime. Right wing Brendan Walsh tied the game early in the third period on his ninth goal of the season. Center Andre Savage tallied his team-leading 16th goal of the year, along with an assist. Tim Thomas stopped 26 shots for his 13th win of the year.
The Bruins return home to host for "Bruin Pride Weekend", beginning on Friday, March 5 at 7:05 p.m., when they host the Hershey Bears. They also host the Portland Pirates that weekend, on Sunday, March 7 at 4:05 p.m. All fans at both games will receive a free Providence Bruins bumper sticker, courtesy of True Value Hardware.
