
D.C. United Taps White+Partners as Agency of Record

Washington D.C. (February 27, 2013) - D.C. United today announced the selection of White+Partners, one of the region's oldest and largest ad agencies, as its ad agency of record. White + Partners will manage United's 2013 advertising strategy, from creative development to flighted ad buys. The assignment rounds-out White+Partners strong sports and entertainment practice including work with the Washington Nationals baseball team and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
"We've long admired the work of White+Partners and solidified our desire to work with them over the course of several recent meetings," said D.C. United Chief Marketing Officer Doug Hicks. "While they have a firm grasp of our brand, both organizations are excited to share this brand in exciting new ways as a part of an aggressive and creative narrative."

D.C. United opens the 2013 Major League Soccer season against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, March 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET (NBC Sports Network) in a nationally televised re-match of the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals.
