D.C. United Selects Defender Bobby Boswell in Stage 1 of the MLS Re-Entry Draft

Washington, D.C. (December 12, 2013)-- D.C. United today announced the club has selected defender Bobby Boswell in Stage 1 of the 2013 Major League Soccer Re-Entry Draft. Boswell played 32 games (32 starts) with the Dynamo in 2013, notching one assist while anchoring the back line.
Boswell earned 2006 MLS Defender of the Year while with D.C. United, as well as an MLS All-Star and MLS Best XI selection that year. After being signed to a developmental contract in 2005, Boswell quickly earned a starting spot for the Black-and-Red. In 2008, the talented defender joined the Houston Dynamo and enjoyed success there as well, making 197 appearances for Houston since 2008, netting nine goals and 6 assists.
