D.C. United News Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. United to feature EagleBank logo placement on the left sleeve of the team's home and away jerseys for the remainder of the 2020 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, beginning with the club's first match away to FC Cincinnati on Friday, August 21, as the league continues play in local markets.
The partnership between EagleBank and D.C. United dates back to the grand opening of Audi Field in 2018. The EagleBank Club, found at Audi Field, is one of the most dynamic event spaces on both gamedays and non-gamedays, seating up to 600 people and offering a full-service bar and flexible seating arrangements. EagleBank has been a driving force in establishing Audi Field's reputation as one of the most popular sporting venues in Washington, D.C.
"EagleBank is a founding partner of Audi Field," says Harry Hardy, Senior Vice President of Events and Marketing for D.C. United. "We're proud and excited to wear their logo on our jerseys as we continue our 2020 season, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with such a committed partner."
EagleBank has been in the metro area for over 20 years, and with 20 locations across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and northern Virginia, it is one of the premier banks for residents and businesses in the District.
"It is EagleBank's honor to be considered a founding partner of Audi Field, and we are proud to be a jersey sponsor of D.C. United," says Sam Pepper, EVP and Chief Operating Officer of EagleBank. "We regard supporting our local sports teams as a natural extension of our mission as a community bank, and we look forward to a long and victorious partnership with D.C. United."
D.C. United will play their first MLS regular season match in local markets since the club's 2-1 victory on March 7 over Inter Miami CF at Audi Field on Friday, August 21 away to FC Cincinnati.
