D.C. United inks goalkeeper to developmental contract

Washington, D.C. (March 29, 2006) - D.C. United announced today the team has signed goalkeeper Ryan McIntosh to a developmental contract, following his trial with the team. McIntosh joins United after a successful collegiate career at the University of Central Florida.

"We are pleased to have signed Ryan to a developmental contract," said United Technical Director Dave Kasper. "He had an impressive trial with us during our camp in Charleston and will provide solid depth for us at the goalkeeper position."

In 2004, during his senior season, McIntosh Started all 20 matches in goal for UCF. He was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year for the second consecutive season and also earned First-Team All-Atlantic Sun honors, after leading the conference in shutouts (7), finishing third in goals against average (1.18) and second in both save percentage (.793) and saves (96).
