D.C. United Announce Updates to 2019 Audi Field Bag Policy
February 26, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
D.C. United News Release
D.C. United have announced details on their updated 2019 Audi Field Bag Policy.
To expedite entry into Audi Field, the club strongly encourage fans to avoid bringing bags to the stadium.
In order to streamline Audi Field access, there will be two designated security lanes to get into the stadium in 2019.
Express lane: Reserved for fans who come to Audi Field without a bag.
Regular lane: For fans who need to have bags screened by security prior to entry.
If fans need to bring a bag into the stadium, please see important information on specifications below:
No bags larger than 14" by 14" by 6" will be allowed into Audi Field.
No backpacks will be allowed (cinch/drawstring bags that meet size specifications will be allowed).
Clear bags are not required but must meet the specifications above.
Other bag types that will NOT be allowed at Audi Field include:
Coolers
Luggage
Large purses
Other similar bags that exceed size restrictions.
D.C. United have also partnered with Binbox Lockers, a company that seeks to revolutionize the way customers rent lockers using a keyless locking system app. This will streamline the storage rental process and allow supporters to reserve their locker prior to arrival at Audi Field.
Lockers will be available for the season opener on March 3.
Binbox's free app is available in iOS or Android, and can be found in the App Store and on Google Play. The convenient app allows customers to quickly locate available locker units, pay with a credit card, and secure their belongings with Bluetooth technology.
More information on Binbox Lockers can be found on their website: www.binboxlockers.com.
D.C. United have made these adjustments to the bag policy after listening to feedback from the supporters in the inaugural season at Audi Field. These adjustments were made to better accommodate fans and improve on game day procedure while maintaining our utmost commitment to supporter safety at Audi Field.
