Cyclones Trade Veteran Defenseman

Cincinnati, Ohio â The Cincinnati Cyclones, a secondary affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks, today announced the completion of a deal that sends the rights to veteran defenseman Kevin Knopp (kuh-NOPP) to the Lexington (Ky.) Menowar for an undisclosed amount of cash.
Knopp joined the Cyclones last season following a trade in mid-November with the Greensboro (N.C.) Generals in exchange for defenseman Andrei Lupandin (loo-PAWN-din). The native of Edmonton, Alberta skated in 51 games with the Cyclones picking up 24 points (3 goals, 21 assists).
