Aces New Office Open, Season Tickets on Sale

August 28, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Alaska Aces News Release

The Anchorage Aces officially open their new offices today, receiving customers at 804 East 15th Avenue, Suite C.

The offices, open to purchase season tickets for the 2002-03 season or Aces merchandise, are located east of Rayville Sports Marketing and Dooley's Tuxedo on 15th between Ingra and Gambell.

While the Aces have been conducting hockey and business operations since the team was purchased by a new ownership group in mid-July, customer service was limited.

"We are pleased to begin servicing our customers," said VP Sales & Marketing Colby Coward. "Former season ticket holders and sponsors will be our first priority."

2001-02 ticket holders and business associates have until end of business Friday, September 6 to renew their ticket agreements and secure seats. Seats will go on sale for the 2002-03 season to the general public at the start of business Monday, September 9.

The Aces seating diagram will feature a reversed seating chart this season, as the Aces will now attack the western goal in the Sullivan Arena twice instead of the eastern net. The player's benches will be reversed as well. The sales staff will do their best to accommodate season ticket holders in any seat relocations during this transition.

"This is something we've wanted to do for years," said General Manager Derek Donald. "This will help us in terms of the new locker room arrangement, on the ice, and give the fans an opportunity to be closer to more of our scoring."

Under the new configuration, more fans are seated behind the opposing net to watch the Aces on the attack and have a presence behind the visiting goalie. In previous years the visiting goalie had the Zamboni entrance to his back for two periods. Call 258-ACES (2237) to get in on the action!
