JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania - The Johnstown Chiefs got two goals and four assists from Andrew Saurauer in a 7-4 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones Wednesday morning. The defeat ended Cincinnati's six game unbeaten in regulation time stretch (4-0-2).

Johnstown scored the two first period goals, as Matt Robinson took advantage of a turnover in the Cincinnati zone at 3:10-netting his second goal of the year. Andrew Sarauer picked up the loose puck and fed the assist on the two on one break. Eight-year pro Randy Rowe extended the lead to 2-0, firing a shot just inside the right post from the top of the left circle for his seventh goal of the campaign. The shorthanded goal came off a pass from Kyle Wharton. The shots on goal favored the Chiefs, 11-9, in the opening frame.

Cincinnati scored a pair of special teams goals in the second period to reduce the deficit to 3-2. Olivier Latendresse picked up his ninth goal of the season, shorthanded, at 3:28. Barret Ehgoetz created the turnover and handed out the assist on the Latendresse goal. Johnstown netted another shorthanded tally at 8:58 from Ryan Garlock, his fourth of the year. The Cyclones closed to one, when Matt Syroczynski lit the lamp at 16:47 from Thomas Beauregard and Frederic St. Denis. It was Syroczynski's fifth goal of the season. Cincinnati fired a season-high 23 shots on goal in the middle frame, outshooting Johnstown, 23-11.

A four goal third period by Johnstown salted the game away. The Chiefs scored the first three goals of the frame to extend the lead to 6-2. Matt Robinson (0:29), Jon Landry (4:54) and Saurauer (6:57), did the damage. Cincinnati cut the deficit in half at 15:16, when Barret Ehgoetz netted his second of the season-shorthanded-from Jimmy Kilpatrick and Donny Grover. The Cyclones narrowed the gap even more at 18)8, when Syroczynski picked his second of the year and sixth of the campaign from St. Denis and Mark Van Guilder. An empty net goal by Saurauer at 19:53 closed the scoring.

Kris Mayotte picked up the win, stopping 35 shots. Kyle Gajewski took the loss, turning aside 27 shots.
