
Former Blade Plante gets call to NHL

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades are proud to announce today that former Everblades goaltender Tyler Plante has been called up to the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers. Plante will be backing up Panthers starting goaltender Craig Anderson for tonight's game vs. Tampa Bay.
Should Plante end up participating in the game he would become the 15th player to dress in an Everblades uniform and play in a game in the NHL.
As a rookie in 2007-2008, Plante played in a total of 10 games with the Everblades compiling a record of 4-5-1 with a 2.81 goals against average and a .921 save percentage. The former 2nd round draft pick (32nd overall) by the Panthers in 2005 also saw time in Rochester of he American Hockey League last season going 6-16-1 with a 3.56 GAA in 25 games.
