Cyclones Sign Chris D'Alvise

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2008 Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that they have signed forward Chris D'Alvise to a contract. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.

D'Alvise 24, signed with the Cyclones at the conclusion of the 2008-09 season for Clarkson University. He was the third-leading scorer for the Golden Knights this season, collecting 13 goals and twelve assists for 25 points in 32 games. Chris notched four power play goals this season.

The five-foot-eleven, 175 pounder from Mississauga, ONT played in 145 games with Clarkson during his four seasons there and netted 49 goals and 56 assists for 105 points. D'Alvise was named the Most Outstanding Player of the ECAC Hockey Tournament playoffs during the 2006-07 season. Chris collected 18 power play goals during his career and was a three-time selection as the ECAC's Player of the Week honors. His father, Daniel, was a member of the 1980 Canadian Olympic team and his uncle (Bob D'Alvise) was a 1975 All-America selection at forward for Michigan Tech.

D'Alvise could be in the lineup for this week's games against the Gwinnett Gladiators. Those games will be played tonight (March 18) and Thursday (March 19) at U.S. Bank Arena. Face off each night is at 7:30pm.
