Wranglers Welcome Back Carpentier from AHL

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that forward Hugo Carpentier has been reassigned by the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames from the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League to Las Vegas.

Carpentier has appeared in 17 games with the Quad City Flames this season. The rookie center has four AHL points on two goals and two assists. In 36 games with the Wranglers, Carpentier has 18 points on seven goals and 11 helpers. Carpentier was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round (#118 overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The first-year center played the last four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. In 257 junior games, the 20-year old scored 81 goals and dished out 123 assists for 204 points.

The Wranglers will host the Ontario Reign at 7:30 PM on Friday night at Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will also host the Alaska Aces on Saturday, March 21st at 7:30 PM. The first 2,000 fans receive a Wranglers trading card set, sponsored by Studio Blue.
