Tonight's Matchup: For the first time since late December, the Cyclones are going to play an opponent outside the North Division as they welcome in the Elmira Jackals to U.S. Bank Arena. The teams have split the first two match-ups of this four-game season series, which plays to the all-time averages. The Clones own a 24-17-1-3 record against their Big Apple State foes since 2006.

Scouting the Jackals: Jamie Russell's club is in the midst of a six-game road trip and find themselves fourth in the East Division, five points back of third place Reading. Rookie defenseman Steven Shamanski is atop the Jackals' leaderboard in scoring - with 28 points (11g, 17a) in 41 games this season. His points and goals rank second-best among all ECHL rear guards. However, he's not the only rookie to have success for Elmira this season; in fact, four of their top five point-getters are first-year pros. Travis Fullerton and Sam Marotta have shared the goaltending workload this season. Fullerton is 13-5-0-4 with a 2.58 goals-against average while Marotta is 8-11-0-1 with a 2.56 GAA.

Last Time Out: A two-goal night by Matt Caria highlighted a 5-2 win for the Wings over the Cyclones in front of 8,129 at U.S. Bank Arena. Steven Hodges and Joe Basaraba lit the lamp for Cincinnati in a losing effort.

Bicentennial Club: This past Saturday night, Cyclones forward Geoff Irwin skated in his 200th game as a professional. This season for the Cyclones, he has notched 13 points (10g, 3a) in 33 games and is tied for the club lead in game-winning goals (2). Since turning pro in 2010, the Victoria, British Columbia native has amassed 49 goals and 63 assists.

Quick Learning Curve: Cyclones goaltender Sam Brittain remains one of the best backstops in the league. Coming into tonight, the University of Denver standout leads the ECHL in shutouts (3) and ranks second among all rookie goaltenders in goals-against average (2.65).
