DENVER, Colo. - The Denver Cutthroats find themselves locked in a third place tie in the Central Hockey League as they begin the second half of their six-game home stand this week when they host Rapid City and Arizona.

December 11 vs. Rapid City Rush, 3-2 (SO) Win
Luke Fulghum's power play goal for Denver knotted the game with 3:42 left in regulation. After progressing to a shootout, Denver's Brad Smyth, Fulghum, and Troy Schwab each scored to close out the 3-2 win.
December 14 vs. Allen Americans, 2-1 Loss
Brad Smyth made it a one-goal game 4:40 into the third, but Aaron Dell's 30 saves sealed the close win for the Allen Americans. Kent Patterson stopped 29 of 31 shots in the loss for Denver.
December 15 vs. Allen Americans, 3-2 Loss
The Cutthroats and Americans closed out their season series with another nail-biter as AJ Gale made it a one-goal deficit with 7:10 left in regulation. Troy Schwab also scored for Denver in the loss.

Tuesday the Cutthroats continue their rivalry against the Rapid City Rush with the eighth meeting of the season. The Cutthroats are 4-2-1 this season against Rapid City, and each of the last four games have gone to a shootout. This weekend the Cutthroats square off against the Arizona Sundogs, who they have split their first six meetings against.
