New Haven County Cutters News Release
(West Haven, CT- July 5, 2004) The New Haven County Cutters are holding a clothing and food drive during their upcoming series, July 7-10, against the Elmira Pioneers.
"This is an opportunity for us to help out the community we are part of," said Cutters GM Tim Kelly. "If it improves one persons life, it makes it all worth it."
Thursday, July 8th, the team will be collecting clothes and toiletries at all the gates. In conjunction with Immanuel Baptist Shelter, the donated articles of clothing will be distributed to less fortunate individuals in the area.
On Friday, July 9th, the team will be collecting non-perishable food from generous fans as they enter the stadium. With help from the Connecticut Food Bank, the food will be given to area families and people in need.
