
Cutters Complete Sweep of Scrappers

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters used a two-run 8th inning to complete the come-from-behind win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, to complete their first series sweep of the season.
Seranthony Dominguez went the first six innings, allowing one run on two hits with a walk, striking out four batters. Dominguez would not factor into the decision.
Luis Encarnacion recorded the lone RBI for the Cutters, driving home Luke Williams in the top of the 8th to tie the game for Williamsport. The Cutters would take the lead on a Grofi Cruz throwing error that scored
Darick Hall to give the Cutters their 2-1 lead.
Blake Quin, Grant Dyer and Jake Kelzer combined for three scoreless innings of relief out of the Cutters bullpen, allowing two hits and recording six strikeouts.
Dyer earned his first professional win, while Jake Kelzer recorded his first professional save. Both players where making their professional debuts.
