The Crosscutters swept a double header in Brooklyn on Sunday night to tighten up the race in the McNamara Division again. Brooklyn now sits 1.5 games ahead of the Cutters. The two teams go at it again tonight in Brooklyn.

Be sure to check out Cutters Close-Up on SusCom Channel 2. This weeks guests include Pirates 1st round draft choice Paul Maholm, Manager Andy Stewart and Brooklyn cyclones announcer Warner Fusselle, the former voice of "This Week In Baseball". Cutters Close-Up can be seen every Wednesday night at 7pm on SusCom 2.
CUTTERS BASEBALL CAMP
The Williamsport Crosscutters will be holding a baseball camp at Bowman Field August 1st & 2nd for kids age 7-15. The cost is $60 per camper and includes 2 days of professional instruction, a cap T-shirt, lunch with the players and a game ticket for August 2nd where all campers will run on the field for the National Anthem with the Cutters. To register call 570.326.3389 or stop by the Bowman Field Fan Center for a registration form. Camp size is limited!!
CRUISE WITH THE CUTTERS

ALUMNI UPDATE
Two former Cutters players were named by USA Today Sports Weekly as MVP's of their respective leagues for the 1st half of the season. Hickory OF Jorge Cortes (2000,2001,2002) was named by the publication as the 1st half MVP in the South Atlantic League. At the break Cortes was leading the league in hitting (.340), RBI (53), hits (88), and on-base percentage (.426). In the Carolina League former Cutters C/DH Chris Shelton (2001) was given the nod as he led the league in hitting (.338), homers (14), on-base percentage (.450), and slugging percentage (.583).
