
Yankees fall to Renegades

[Staten Island, NY] - The Staten Island Yankees dropped their fourth straight, as they fell to the Hudson Valley Renegades, 4-3, Monday night.
The Yankees did break a 36-inning scoreless streak in the bottom of the eighth, plating three runs to tie the game at three.
Kyle Frank, Adam Shorts and Hector Zamora hit back-to-back-to-back singles to load the bases. After a Hudson Valley pitching change, Horace Lawrence singled in Frank with the first run and breaking the scoreless inning streak. Shorts scored on a groundout by Edwar Gonzalez and Zamora crossed home with the tying run on a groundout by Bryce Kartler, but Lawrence was left stranded on third as Carlos Rosario flied out to left field to end the inning.
Hudson Valley came right back in the ninth, plating the eventual game-winner on an error by Gonzalez.
Mike Gardner suffered the loss, his third of the season.
There will be a league off day on Tuesday. The Yankees will travel to Hudson Valley on Wednesday and return home to face the Renegades on Thrusday.
