
Cutters Close Out Season with Loss

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Crosscutters closed out the 2018 season with a 1-0 loss to the State College Spikes.
Manuel Silva worked the first four innings in his final start of the season, striking out three without allowing a single run to cross. Ethan Ivanko and Randy Alcantara combined for three innings of shutout relief, striking out two. Blake Bennett took the loss, allowing one run, unearned, over two innings of relief.
Ben Pelletier was the lone Crosscutters batter with a multi-hit game, finishing the game 2 for 3 with a walk.
Pelletier finished the season leading the Crosscutters in hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBI and runs scored, the first Cutters player to lead the team in all of those categories in a single season in Cutters history.
Williamsport finished the season with a 32-44 record, going 17-21 at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.
