BROOKLYN, NY - L.A. Woodard walked with the bases loaded in the 10th inning, giving the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season, Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, a 5-4 walk off victory against the Staten Island Yankees Monday afternoon in the season finale at MCU Park. With an Auburn victory earlier at Batavia, the Cyclones have been eliminated from postseason contention.

BIG MOMENTS

After Hayden Senger was hit by a pitch on the helmet with the bases loaded to tie the game, L.A. Woodard walked with the bases loaded in the 10th inning to pull out a 5-4 victory.

Ross Adolph's run-scoring double down the right field line gave Brooklyn a 3-2 lead. He tripled and scored in the first inning to give the Cyclones an early 1-0 lead. Adolph finished a home run shy of the cycle.

Mets rehabbing reliever Anthony Swarzak tossed a scoreless fifth inning, striking out two.

NEWS & NOTES

The Cyclones finished with a league-leading attendance mark of 202,497, an increase of 15,642 from last season. It's the 18th consecutive season leading the NY-Penn League in attendance.

Brooklyn finished the 2018 season 40-35, collecting its first winning season since 2014.

Ross Adolph tripled again Monday, collecting his 12th three-bagger of the season. Adolph tied the Cyclones single-season record set by Darrell Ceciliani in 2010.
