New Haven County Cutters News Release

The Cutters and SARAH, Inc., have teamed up to provide an early "Cutter-thon" Tuesday, August 24th, at Yale Field. The Cutter-thon enlists local hair salons and barbers in an effort to raise funds and awareness for SARAH, Inc.

All-Star left-hander Jordy Alexander and reliever Luke Lambo will have their hair cut in front of the Yale Field crowd prior to the 7:05 PM game against the New Jersey Jackals tomorrow, August 24th. This is in preparation for the September 18th "Cutter-thon" where select local salons and barbershops have agreed to donate a portion of haircut sales and/or collect donations at the register to support the sports and recreation programs that SARAH, Inc., provides.

SARAH, Inc., dates back 50+ years in the community and now has grown to serve over 40 communities across Greater New Haven and Shoreline areas. The non-profit organization is a local chapter of the Special Olympics and provides services, supports advocacy for children and adults with developmental or other disabilities.
