Altoona Curve News Release

ALTOONA, PA - Daniel Moskos out dueled Binghamton's Eric Niesen in game one of Thursday's double-header at Blair County Ballpark for a 2-1 Curve win.

Moskos (8-8) picks up his fourth win in five starts after tossing 5.0 innings and allowing one run on four hits as well as showing great composure to get out of jams early on. The B-Mets loaded the bases in each of the first two innings but only managed one run as Moskos induced a ground out in the first and struck out Caleb Stewart looking to end the second and escape the trouble.

Jean Machi picked up his sixth save of the season tossing a scoreless seventh frame after picking off the potential tying run at second base and then two pitches later striking out Ike Davis to end the game.

After trailing 1-0 early the Curve scored runs in the third and fifth innings on sacrifice flies by CF Gorkys Hernandez and C Miguel Perez. Perez finished game one 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI.
