Altoona Curve News Release

ALTOONA, Pa - The Altoona Curve return home from their eight-game road trip and are ready to kick off the month of May with the first seven games of the 18 that team will play at Blair County Ballpark throughout the month.

It all begins on Friday at 6:35 p.m. as the Curve begin a three game series with the Erie Seawolves (Double-A/Detroit Tigers) and the home stand will conclude with a four game set with the Akron Aeros (Double-A/Cleveland Indians).

Highlighting the homestand will be Sunday's 3:05 p.m. game versus the Seawolves where the Curve will celebrate the first World Series ever played between the Pittsburg Pirates and the Detroit Tigers. In celebration, the Curve will wear 1909 Pirates' Replica Jerseys and the first 2,000 fans through the gates will take home a Baseball Card Poster, presented by the Altoona Mirror. The unique jerseys will be spelled without the "H" at the end of Pittsburgh, as that was the recognized spelling of the city's name during that time. During the game, fans can partake in a silent auction with all proceeds raised benefitting A Season of Sharing charity.

That's just a few of the many promotions the Curve will be offering. Here is a detailed list of all the happenings at BCB for their opening home stand of the month of May:
