
Curve game postponed Friday night, doubleheader Saturday

ALTOONA - Friday's scheduled game between the Curve and Bowie Baysox (AA/Baltimore Orioles) at Blair County Ballpark has been postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, September 2nd beginning at 5:35 PM. Ballpark gates will open at 4:30 (4:20 Curve Season Ticket Holders) and fans attending Blair County Ballpark on Saturday will receive admission for both games.
Fans holding tickets for Friday's postponed contest can use their rain checks as vouchers for seats to any remaining 2006 Curve regular season game, or for Curve games at Blair County Ballpark in April and May 2007. In addition, Curve fans can also redeem their unused tickets from Friday's rain out as vouchers for any 2006 Altoona Curve Eastern League playoff game. The Curve will host Games 3 and 4 of the E.L. Southern Division First Round Playoff Series on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9.
"We are offering our fans the unique and unprecedented opportunity to redeem their rain checks from Friday's rain out for any of our 2006 Eastern League playoff games as another 'thank you' to our loyal fans who have continued their great support of this franchise throughout this great 2006 season," said Curve General Manager Todd Parnell.
All ticket exchanges are for seats of equal or lesser value and are based on seating availability. Fans can exchange tickets by visiting the Curve Ticket Office at Blair County Ballpark or by calling (877) 99-CURVE.
Friday's scheduled "Curve Faith Night" post-game concert, featuring Randy Stonehill and Matthew Ward, will now take place at New Hope Baptist Church in Duncansville. The concert, which is FREE and open to the public, will begin at 8:00 PM.
To find New Hope Baptist Church in Duncansville, turn off PA 764 onto Maple Hollow Road. The church is on the right approximately 400 feet off Maple Hollow Road.
Saturday's 5:35 PM doubleheader will feature the final stop on the Curve's 2006 "Retro Celebrity Series" as Jimmie Walker ("J.J." from Good Times) will be on hand to meet and greet Curve fans at Blair County Ballpark.
