
Curve Eastern League playoff schedule set

ALTOONA - The Altoona Curve have officially clinched the wild-card berth in the Eastern League's Southern Division and will host the division champion Akron Aeros (AA/Cleveland Indians) at Blair County Ballpark in Games 3 and 4 of the E.L. Divisional Playoff Round on Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th.
Both games will start at 7:05 PM and will each feature a spectacular fireworks show following the game. Fans planning to attend either or both games should use tickets marked "Playoff Game A" for Friday the 8th and "Playoff Game B" for Saturday the 9th.
The first two games of the best-of-five series will take place at Akron's Canal Park on Wednesday, September 6th and Thursday, September 7th.
Under the Eastern League's playoff format, the Curve could host a total of four home playoff games at Blair County Ballpark, including the Eastern League Championship Series. If Altoona advances to the ELCS, it would host the champion of the Northern Division in Games 1 & 2 of the best-of-five title series on Tuesday, September 12th and Wednesday, September 13th. Game times will be announced at a later date.

Fans can purchase playoff tickets through the Blair County Ballpark Ticket Office, over the phone by calling (814) 943-5400 or toll-free at (877) 99-CURVE, or on-line at www.altoonacurve.com. As a courtesy to Curve fans, individual game playoff ticket prices will remain the same as the regular season.
In addition, Curve fans will be offered discounted pricing on all picnic packages and general group tickets. Fans interested in picnic packages for Eastern League post-season games at Blair County Ballpark will be offered the club's special April and May pricing. Groups of 25-100 will receive a $2 discount per ticket, while a $2.50 discount per ticket is being offered to groups of more than 100.
Individual game tickets for post-season games not played can either be exchanged for a full refund no later than Friday, Sept. 22 or can be used as vouchers for any April or May Curve home game during the 2007 season, based on seating availability.
