
Curve and Sea Dogs Washed Out Tuesday Night

(ALTOONA, PA)- Tuesday night's scheduled contest between the Altoona Curve and Portland Sea Dogs has been postponed due to a day-long rainfall at Blair County Ballpark.
The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:35 a.m. Under minor league baseball rules, the teams will play two (2) seven-inning games.
Tuesday's scheduled starters, Tom Fordham and Junior Herndon will match up in game one, while in game two the Curve will send right-hander John VanBenschoten against Portland left-hander Chris Elmore.
The gates at Blair County Ballpark will open at 9:00 a.m. for Wednesday's doubleheader. Penn State men's basketball head coach Ed DeChellis will toss out the ceremonial first pitch prior to game one.
