Rock Cats Bring Rain
Published on June 3, 2003 under Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release
Tuesday's game between the Harrisburg Senators and the New Britain Rock Cats has been postponed because of rain. The wet stuff had been around Central PA all day and made the field unplayable.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, June 4th beginning at 6:05 P.M.
New Britain just arrived in town to begin a three-game series and it is the only time the Rock Cats will play in Harrisburg this season. New Britain's last three games, home on Saturday and Sunday and here today, have all been rained out.
Rain Checks from Tuesday's game may be used at any of the remaining home games during the 2003 season.
Expos Name Players of the Month
The Montreal Expos named the organizational Players of the Month for May on Tuesday. The winners for double-A were player Noah Hall and pitcher Seung Song.
In May, Hall hit .375 in 28 games with 3 homers and 21 RBI. He also had a .521 slugging percentage and a .468 on-base average during the month.
Song, coming off his no-hit performance at the end of April, was 3-1 in six starts with a 1.72 ERA during the month. He held opposing hitters to a .180 average during May.
