Cullen, Fahey Named To ECHL All-Rookie Team

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that forward Jon Cullen and defenseman Brian Fahey have been named to the 2003-04 ECHL All-Rookie Team. The announcement came from the ECHL offices in Princeton earlier this afternoon.

Cullen, 26, is second on the Bullies in scoring and tied for the league-lead among all ECHL rookies with 29 goals and 74 points. The Alexandria, MN native is also among the rookie leaders in power play goals and power play points. He leads the ECHL with 9 shorthanded points. Cullen registered a Bullies season-high 13-game scoring streak from February 1 through March 6.

Fahey, 23, leads all Bullies defensemen in scoring with 11 goals and 37 points in 55 games. A fourth round draft choice of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Fahey is tied for 18th among ECHL defensemen in scoring, while his 9 power play goals are tied for fourth. The Glenview, IL native signed a mid-season contract with Worcester of the American Hockey League, and is currently on loan to Hershey through Worcester

In other news, the Bullies have signed rookie defensemen Tom Galvin to a contract. Galvin, 24, just completed his collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame finishing with 8 goals and 50 assists in 142 games.
