
C's Fall To Spokane 7-3 On Sunday

(Avista Stadium - Spokane, WA) - After two straight nights of offensive dominance, the Canadians bats finally met their match as a quartet of Spokane pitchers limited Vancouver hitters to just four hits on Sunday in a 7-3 loss on Father's Day.
Vancouver starter RHP Ben White (0-1 9.00) gave up runs in three of his four innings of work including a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1st inning where Spokane RF Preston Beck and 3B Ryan Rua both managed RBI doubles to set the tone offensively. Indians CF Hirotoshi Onaka reached base in all five of his plate appearances going 1-for-1 with four walks.
The Canadians offensive went cold on a brisk day out at Avista Stadium as the combination of RHP Conner Sadzeck, RHP David Perez, RHP Josh McElwee and RHP Alec Asher limited Vancouver to just four hits on the afternoon. C's slugger 1B Balbino Fuenmayor was a bright light going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
With the loss, Vancouver falls to 2-1 (.667) on the young Northwest League season and will play game four of this five game series in Spokane on Monday night with the first pitch set for 6:30pm from Avista Stadium. The C's will send LHP Colton Turner (21st Round-2012) to the mound in search of the series victory.
