Jason Wilson (1-0) pitched seven strong innings and Austin Prott and Joey Burney homered to account for all the scoring as the Lake Erie Crushers (8-12) defeated the Rockford Aviators (15-7) 3-0 in Frontier League baseball action Tuesday night at Aviators Stadium in Loves Park, IL.
Kyle Brueggemann (3-1) took the loss for Rockford despite turning a quality start in which he limited the Crushers to just three singles in 6.2 innings beside the home runs. Brueggemann, who retired 14 straight batters at one point, gave up a solo shot to Prott in the second and a two run blast to Burney in the seventh, with no walks and seven strikeouts.
