
Crunch Earn Point in Seven Straight Games

Syracuse enters this week in a three-way tie for fourth place in the North Division after earning at least one point in a season high seven consecutive games. Syracuse (70 points) has 14 games remaining compared to Hamilton's (70 points) 13 games remaining and Edmonton's (70 points) 12 games left. Cleveland (68 points) trails Syracuse, Hamilton and Edmonton by two points with 12 games remaining.
SECOND ROUND PICK LINDSTROM JOINS CRUNCH: The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed center Joakim Lindstrom to a amateur try-out contract. The team also announced that defenseman Jason Beckett was reassigned to Pensacola (ECHL) and left wing Yuri Moscevsky was released from his professional try-out contract.
Lindstrom, 21, appeared in 37 games with MoDo (Sweden), recording two goals, three assists and 24 penalty minutes. A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom was selected by Columbus in the second round, 41st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Beckett, 24, appeared in two games with Syracuse this season, recording two penalty minutes. In 57 games with Pensacola (ECHL) this season, Beckett recorded 9 goals, 16 assists and 112 penalty minutes. In 231 career AHL games with Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Houston and Syracuse, Beckett has tallied 10 goals, 31 assists and 474 penalty minutes. A native of Lethbridge , Alberta, Beckett was selected by Philadelphia in the second round, 42nd overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
Moscevsky, 26, appeared in nine games with Syracuse this season, recording 1 goal and 29 penalty minutes. In 29 games with Long Beach (ECHL) this season, Moscevsky has tallied 2 goals, 3 assists and 174 penalty minutes. A native of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Moscevsky has appeared in 129 career AHL games with Cleveland and Milwaukee, recording 3 goals, 5 assists and 382 penalty minutes.
MORAN FOUR SHORT OF POINT RECORD: Center Brad Moran enters this week four points shy of tying Lonny Bohonos' franchise point mark of 230. A native of Abbotsford, BC, Moran is the Crunch's all-time leader in assists (132), power play goals (37), short-handed goals (9) and games played (318). He is second in goals (94) and game-winning goals (13).
THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS:
CHICAGO (ATLANTA THRASHERS): Syracuse hosts Chicago on Wednesday, March 23 for the second and final of two regular season meetings between the teams this season. Chicago defeated Syracuse in their only other meeting 6-4, on February 23 at Allstate Arena. Both teams have several players tied with two points in head-to-head scoring. Andrew Penner appeared in net for Syracuse, recording 35 saves. Kari Lehtonen appeared between the pipes for Chicago, recording 35 saves. Lifetime, the Crunch are 1-4-0 against the Wolves.
CLEVELAND (SAN JOSE SHARKS): Syracuse travels to Cleveland on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 for the sixth and seventh of eight regular season meetings between the teams this season. Syracuse leads the series 3-2, after Syracuse defeated the Barons 4-3 in a shootout on February 19 at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Right wing Joe Motzko (2g, 2a) and defenseman Aaron Johnson (1g, 3a) lead Crunch players with four points in head-to-head scoring. Left wing Josh Prudden leads the Barons in head-to-head scoring with four points (2g, 2a). Karl Goehring has appeared in five games for Syracuse, posting a 3-2-0, a 2.34 gaa and a .919 save percentage. Dimitri Patzold has appeared four games for Cleveland, posting a 1-2-1 record, a 1.97 gaa and a .944 save percentage. Lifetime, the Crunch are 18-10-1 against the Barons.

Crunch Announce Details of Arrow Fence âStraight as an Arrow' Promotion: The Syracuse Crunch announced the details of the Arrow Fence âStraight as an Arrow' promotion.
During the month of March, fans can sign-up at the Advance Auto Parts Guest Service Center for a chance to win a swing set, compliments of Arrow Fence. Following the March 30 games two fans will be randomly selected to participate in the Arrow Fence âStraight as an Arrow' on-ice competition at a select April home game (TBD).
Each of the winning fans will select a family member to compete with them. One member of each team will be blindfolded and spun around ten times and be asked to walk from the center red line to the goal line, through a fence and back. While walking, the contestants' teammate and Al will help guide the contestant. After completing the course, the second team member will repeat the âStraight as an Arrow' walk. The first team to complete the course will receive swing set, complements of Arrow Fence.
Crunch Jersey Auction Begins: The Syracuse Crunch announced that their 2004-05 game-worn jersey auction has begun.
Available for the auction this year are the teams' home jerseys (blue color), road jerseys (white color), third jerseys (red color) and St. Patrick's Day jerseys (green color). All of the available Crunch jerseys can be viewed on the Crunch's official website (www.syracusecrunch.com).
Fans can bid on Syracuse's 2004-05 game-worn jerseys at remaining Crunch home games or on the Crunch's official website www.syracusecrunch.com/shop/jersey_auction_new.cfm.
Bids must be made in $20 increments (for example - if current bid is $500, bids of $520, $540, $560, etc... will be accepted)
All winning bids will be notified within 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction. The auction will conclude Wednesday, April 13 at 5 p.m.
Winners are responsible for shipping and handling costs. Jerseys are not autographed.
