Crunch Claim Defenseman David Cullen

Syracuse, NY (November 26, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have claimed defenseman David Cullen off American Hockey League waivers.

Cullen, 30, had been playing for Farjestads of the Swedish Elite League this season. Last season, he appeared in 51 games for the DEG Metro Stars of the German Elite League, notching 4 goals, 15 assists and 73 penalty minutes.

A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Cullen has significant AHL experience appearing in a combined 458 games with Springfield, Houston and Rochester, compiling 50 goals, 178 assists and 270 penalty minutes.

The Crunch's next home game is Friday, November 30 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
